About Us

Who are we? Inspired by Students. Built for the Community. CPR Cert. was born in a local Title I continuation high school classroom serving underserved students. Donna Dela Calzada (a science teacher and CPR Cert.’s instructor) was inspired by her students to provide meaningful education, while introducing them to a career pathway in healthcare. During her journey to becoming a certified instructor, she noticed that the high cost of training programs can be a barrier to obtaining these essential certifications. As a result, CPR Cert. has taken that mission beyond the school walls, helping nonprofits, community groups, and schools/colleges offer training at an affordable cost. Courses are offered in hybrid and in-person formats.

What is a hybrid course? This format ensures flexibility without compromising quality or confidence. You complete the online learning portion at your own pace, from the comfort of your home. Then you attend a brief in-person skills session to practice and demonstrate competency.
